Setting Up Your Studio

Setting up your streaming area, or your Studio, is an important step when getting ready to start going Live on camera. You can draw in more members with a well-lit, clean and attractive studio, maximizing your earning potential.

Clean and Comfortable

Your Studio should be clean, free of clutter, and with enough space to move around effortlessly. A clean streaming area always looks good and feels good. You should be comforable and fully prepared for streaming, so make sure you have everything you need. Bring snacks, drinks, and stay hydrated, but try not to eat while on camera, unless for shows. Plan ahead and setup your room to be as comfortable as possible for long streaming days. Set your ideal room temperature, place pillows, personal care items for quick touch-ups, like a hairbrush or lip gloss. Grab your toys, cleaning items, or any other props you plan on using for your shows. The more Comforatble you are in your studio, the longer and easier you can stay streaming.

Location

The best and easiest place to stream, is from a bedroom, especially if you are just starting out as a cammodel. It allows you to get accustomed to setting up your room and lighting, utilizing different angles and gives you room to develop your persona. The bedroom also gives a much more personal feel for members, allowing you to set the tone of the chat, and are more enticed to join shows. Once setting up becomes second nature, and you have a good understanding of lighting, you can set your studio up anywhere! On the living room couch, in the kitchen, bath or shower, a closet full out outfits, even your pool if you have one. When in doubt, stick with the bedroom, but do not be afraid to switch it up!

Play Music

Members love a model with personality, and music is one amazing way to really show that off. It is also can be a key factor when setting the tone/mood of your room. Throw on some good twerk music to shake your ass, sensual music, country music, lofi or even anime themesongs. You are the Dj in your studio, so throw on music that you enjoy. Keep the music at a volume where viewers can enjoy it, without it overpowering your voice.

Equipment Setup

Set up your equipment in front of you in your streaming area. Make sure you are well lit (see lighting for lighting setup) and check you mic to make sure members can hear you. We suggest streaming with a pc and external webcam, however we know this isn’t always possible with new models. Streaming from your phone is also a good way to start streaming when you do not have this equipment, however we suggest upgrading your equipment as you cam. Please go to the equipment page to see suggestions for equipment for just starting out. We have also provided a guide for Mobile streaming!

When setting up your equipment, make sure you have enough room between you and the camera to move around freely, but can also be up close and personal if you choose. You want to have your external camera directly on top on your screen, as it looks like you are talking to the members directly. To really hit those extra bucks, bust out the amazon boxes to give your camera a lift and a downwards view. A camera angle that slightly looks down upon the model gives members the illusion of femineity and are subconsciously more enticed into a show. Its not required, but it’s a trick that has worked well for many models, including myself.

When streaming from your bed, place your equipment to give you the most amount of bedspace to utilize; usually setup at the food of the bed or from the side. Make sure there enough room behind your equipemtn to setup your lighting. If possible, try to have a greal deal of space between the camera and the wall behind you.

Personalize it

Members love models with personality, and your studio is a perfect way to show that off. You dont want your room to be trashy or messy. Accentuate the room with things you love, without overcluttering the room. A white sheet on the bed always looks best, but try to avoid patterned blankets as they can throw off a camera. Posters, pictures, pillows, and decorations that show off the room. You do not want family photos or anything that gives away any personal information about you, in your feed. If you dont think members can see it, they can. Checking out other popular model’s room set ups can be a good way to get an idea of where to begin setting up yours.

Have your Props ready

Have your toys and props readily available Leave your toys in a open spot, easily viewable in your live feed. Seeing your toys can have a member ready for a paid chat, and can be a deciding favor when choose what model they would like to view. You can choose to use props like a whiteboard for writing your top buyer’s names or displaying extra information, or a spinning wheel for freechat games. If you have to dig for something specific, you can quickly loose a member from paid chats.
